FAQs
Why do people book you?
Clients first come to me because they feel stuck in a style that no longer resonates and are seeking guidance on how to move forward. Often, for various reasons—such as ageing, starting their own business, or working from home—they realise that what once suited their needs no longer does and they are eager to look and feel great about themselves. Helping my clients discover a signature style that reflects who they are and where they are now is really what it's all about.
Is there a minimum budget required for a Personal Shopping trip?
There's no hard and fast rule for budget, although inflation has hit clothing too, so I suggest a steer of £5k minimum to ensure a good quantity of mid-range brands. Quality is of paramount importance and I find that anything under that amount doesn't get you much and would be seen as a top-up shop amount i.e. an additional few extra pieces rather than an entire new wardrobe.
Is the Wardrobe Review & Edit essential before booking a Personal Shopping session?
I advise all new clients to book the Wardrobe Review & Edit, as it’s essential I get to know you, your wardrobe and your starting point. This also allows for a clear out of any outdated, tired or unflattering items that are not working, making space and reorganising your current wardrobe, ahead of acquiring new pieces. I also recommend the review to long-standing clients, as every 2-3 years, a wardrobe needs to be reassessed to ensure we are on top of things and that each and every piece is still working hard for you.
What are the knock-on effects of working with you?
A rise in self-confidence is the most common change clients report after working with me. This not only affects my clients personally, but it extends to their friends, family and colleagues, as the way they find themselves interacting and projecting their 'new' selves leads to far more positive life experiences. When we look good, we feel great. It's as simple as that. Another lovely thing to hear is the sheer number of compliments clients receive—not just from people in their inner circle, but from complete strangers too. To some, it might sound like it's just about clothes, but what my clients and I achieve goes far beyond that—-not only will you have a stylish, effortless new wardrobe that is perfectly tailored to you, the newfound confidence you acquire will have you admired, seen and heard like never before.
What age range do you work with?
I predominantly work with mid-thirties to mid-sixties. People's needs and bodies change dramatically during these years. This means that what they wore in their late twenties to early thirties is no longer relevant and/or suitable. This age bracket is looking to find a new, up-to-date personal style that not only reflects how they now look and feel, but also ensures they are projecting their very best selves in whatever it is they do.
